The long period of corona pandemic has also affected the way of doing politics in State. Earlier, political leaders used to go among masses without hesitation but now there is a fear among them and they try to ask people to cover their faces with mask or hanker chief while meeting them.
Moreover, people are also a little bit afraid while attending the political programmes and they themselves used to follow necessary guidelines as much as possible.
Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ former minister and Congress MLA Harsh Yadav told that corona pandemic has definitely changed the pattern of doing politics. There is even uncertain fear among the hearts of people and even politicians regarding the pandemic. He himself had become corona positive some time back and now he has recuperated fully.
He told that it’s impossible for a political leader to remain without public touch for a long time. Therefore, when he goes to meet people, he himself tries to ensure that people have their faces covered with masks. Moreover, he himself distribute masks to people during public programmes. He also tries to make people aware about the pandemic and implementation of safety norms necessary to keep disease at bay.
BJP MLA from Narsinghgarh (Rajgarh district) Rajyavardhan Singh told ‘The Hitavada’ that corona period has changed everything including the way of doing politics. “I maintain six feet distance while meeting people and do not allow anyone to meet me without mask. I have even put up a board at my residence that people should come to meet me only by wearing the mask. No one is allowed to meet me if he does not wear the mask. There is nothing to feel bad in this regard for anyone,” he said.
