Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated a seminar organised at the hall of Mahant Ghasidas Memorial in State capital on the occasion of 8th Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasha Diwas, on Saturday. Chief Minister Baghel felicitated nine people for their valuable contributions in preserving and promoting Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasha and its literature. Meanwhile, Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhendiya, Forest Minister. Mohammad Akbar, Rural Industries Department Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Shori, Culture Department Secretary Anbalgan P, Director Amrit Vikas Topno were also present. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Baghel said that after the formation of the new government, the importance of Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasha, Chhattisgarhi Teej-festivals have gained their due importance.
 
The State government has declared public holidays on the occasion of Hareli, Teeja-Pora, Karama Jayanti and other festivals. The Chief Minister said that children are also being taught in languages like Gondi, Halbi, Kudukh, Surgujia in State. Nandkishore Shukla of Bilaspur, Vaibhav Pandey Bemetariha of Raipur, Dr Chittaranjan Kar of Raipur, Dr Pardeshiram Verma of Bhilai, Rameshwar Vaishnav of Raipur, Sanjeev Tiwari of Durg, Dr Rajan Yadav of Khairagarh, Devesh Tiwari of Raipur and Sudha Verma of Raipur were honoured their valuable contributions in promotion of Chhattisgarhi language in the programme.
