Sanjay Gupta, owner of Hotel Ashok, Laxmi Nagar, has donated Rs 35 lakh to various social and religious organisations as part of his belief in sharing some proceeds from his entepreneurship with society at large. On various occasions including his own birthday or marriage of wards or of those in family, Gupta has donated handsomely to old age homes, educational institutions, medical institutions and for construction of Shree Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Gupta submitted a cheque of Rs 11 lakh to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for construction of Ram Temple.
During the presentation of cheque, Devendra Fadnavis, ex-CM, Anil Deshmukh, Home Minister, Nitin Raut Energy Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Parinay Fuke, both ex-Ministers, Dr Vikas Mahatme and Krupal Tumane, both Members of Parliament, Girish Gandhi, Dayashankar Tiwari, Jaiprakash Gupta and others were present. He has also donated to other social organisations like Sankalp Social Organisation Rs 2 lakh, Ujwal Gorakshan and Old Age Home Rs 3 lakh, Dr Dalvi Memorial Hospital Rs 2 lakh, Indian Cancer Society Rs 2 lakh, Maitri Parivar Rs 1 lakh, Dayanand School Rs 1 lakh etc. Gupta also provided an ambulance to the organisation of Katol under the auspices of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Also, he has announced to provide Rs one lakh to family Martyr Bhushan Satai of Katol.
