Sujal, Tannistha reign supreme

 

 

 

SUJAL Rangari of Vinayak Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Wardha and Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road’s Tannistha Ghosh reigned supreme in their respective Under-17 karate events of Censports, the virtual sports meet hosted by Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass. The online tourney was organised by Sports for All (SFA) Play. In all 1830 children in the age groups of 7 to 17 years, from 433 schools around the world took part in the 10-day event. Sujal was followed by Manomay Goenka of CPS, Amt and Ashish Sagare from Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Kolhapur. In the girls event, Tannistha proved much superior to CPS, Wardhaman Nagar’s Harshitha Jhanwar and Parul Gondane of CPS Amt, who finished second and third respectively.

 

The finals for karate (kata) were telecast live on YouTube. Director of Centre Point Group of Schools Radhika Rajwade, Executive Director of Centre Point Group of Schools Mukta Chatterjee, Principal of Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass Radhika Mehra and vice-principals congratulated winners and participants of Censports. They also thanked the organisers from SFA Play and the sponsors from Enerzal for extending their support. The efforts put in by the Sports Department of the school for success of the event were commended by management of the school. U11 Girls: Prashabdhi Nikose (St Joseph’s Convent School, Nag), Moksha Kothari (CPS, WN), Harshita Wadhwa (CPS I). U13 Boys: Neil Dhume (CPS, Katol Road), Dheer Patel, (Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai), Nasir Chimthanawala (CPS, WN). U13 Girls: Prachita Patil (Bhavan’s BPVM, Nagpur), Unnati Dhimole (CPS, WN), Sia Sajith (Ambassador School, Dubai).
