A culvert situated on the road connecting the prime industrial area of the city with the Link Road connecting Ranjhi to Ricchai is getting dilapidated day by day. The industrial units in the Ricchai development area as well as localities situated near the industrial area of Ricchai use this road connected with the link road for Madai, residential area of the Vehicle Factory Jabalpur.

 

From both sides, the culvert bridge and top are damaged and have converted into an arch. Any day if timely repairing work is not initiated then people would face a lot of problems in communication as the culvert has been constructed on the nullah passing through industrial estate is wide and deep in which untreated water from the industry flows.

 

The complaint and demand for the construction of new bridge on this important road at this point has been registered numerous times with the concerned authorities but it seems that the authorities at Industry Department, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation and Janpad Panchayat are least bothered about problems being faced by the locals. If futher damage is caused to the culvert, there is no alternate route or connection that could connect the industrial traffic via VFJ to other major centres from where industrial input and output material is transported.
