Kulkarni grabs State-level online blitz chess title

Nilay Kulkarni of Nagpur clinched the first online blitz chess title the other day. The Dr Appalwar Eye Hospital Gadchiroli State-Level Online Blitz Chess Tournament was organised by Roshan Chess Academy through lichess.org. Kulkarni garnered 7.5 points out of maximum nine to emerge clear winner. He was followed by Suhan Deshpande also of who collected seven points with a tiebreak score of 42.25. Sumedh Ramteke had to satisfy at the third spot who also collected seven points. His tiebreak score was 40.75 The best female prize was won by city's Krishna Taori.
 
Shruti Kolhe of Chandrapur finished second. Ajay Nimbalkar won the best player from Gadchiroli while Aayush Ainchawar finished won the second spot and Soham Chilamwar and Rudresh Kohade ended third and fourth respectively. Total 82 players from Amravati, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Wardha, Nagpur, Akola, Pune, and Mumbai participated in tournament. The time control given was 5 minute plus 3 second increment from move 1 to all players. The tournament was conducted under the supervision of IA Deepak Chavan and SA Roshan Sahare. Top Eight: Nilay Kulkarni, Suhan Deshpande, Sumedh Ramteke, Jay Sawalakhe, Aditya Kakpure, Aastha Turankar, Soham Vilayatkar, Ayush Ramteke.
