For experiencing the amazing products of cotton, silk handlooms made by master craftsmen from all over the country displayed in 49 stalls, one has to visit the Silk Cotton Fab exhibition cum sale opened here at Chitnavis Centre, 56 Temple Road, Civil Lines on Friday. The exhibition will remain open from December 4 to 13 between 10.00am and 9.00 pm.
The participants are directly selling their products at the lowest costs directly to the customers and the customers can get authentic and exclusive products and promote these artisans coming from all over the country. The products on display include large variety of exclusive and attractive silk and cotton sarees, dress materials, suits, stoles, dupathas, Kurtas and Kurties along with fashion jewellery and artifacts for home decor are sure to entice one and all to get hold of an item of their choice, said Tara Shree, Organiser of the event.
The regional and States’ specialties include a host of varieties like Bhagalpuri Tassar, Kosa and Khadi silk of Bihar, Lucknow Chikan, Jamdani and of course Banaras Silk from Uttar Pradesh, Chanderi and Maheshwari silk of MP, Patola, Bandhini and Kutch embroidery from Gujarat. in addition Rajasthan presents Bandhei, Block print and Sanganeri print, form Karnataka, Bangalore silk and printed crepe, the state of J&K with embroidered and Tabi silk, Kanjivaram and Coimbatore cotton from Tamil Nadu whereas Eastern State of West Bengal is offering Balucheri, Kantha, TangaiI and Jamdani. There are other attractive varieties too available for the visitors.
