Dr Sanjeev Kumar assures to resolve issues of MIDC Hingna

MIDC Industries Association (MIA) organised a programme to celebrated its 34th Foundation Day on February 4, 2020, at MIA House, Hingna, Nagpur. Continuing its legacy of celebrating this day every year, the programme was graced by Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur as chief guest and Rajesh Zanzad, Chief Engineer, MIDC, Nagpur as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries seated on dais were, C G Shegaonkar, President of MIA, Sachin Jain, Secretary and Murali Mohan Pantula, Treasurer. The function was conducted under the guidance of the C G Shegaonkar and presided over by Sachin Jain. All dignitaries were felicitated by giving them shawl, shrifal, bouquet and memento. S M Patwardhan and Arun Lanjewar were also present.
In his welcome speech, by C G Shegaonkar briefed about the history of MIA, its facilities and achievements to the guests. He welcomed Dr Sanjeev Kumar and briefed him about the various difficulties being faced by the industry and requested him to use his good office to resolve various issues, such as creating an alternate drinking water source for MIDC, sewage line for the industrial area and skill development centre for the benefit of the industry, build parallel road to decongest Hingna road, garbage lying in MIDC, CEPT to be set-up, plots available in Hingna area to be allotted to existing industries for expansion, Gram Panchyat Tax to be implemented, minimum 20 bedded ESIC Hospital should be made available in MIDC Hingna, decentralisation of power, Exit Policy for MSMEs by way of single clearance window etc.
Dr Sanjeev Kumar assured the industrialist that he will look into the issues faced by MIDC and take it forward at the earliest. He motivated the industrial fraternity by praising them as tax payers, job creators and wealth creators. Rajesh Zanzad spoke on the role of MIDC and the facilities provided by them in industrial estates in Maharashtra. He praised the available infrastructure of MIA and said it to be best in Maharashtra. He also assured to take up issues at suitable platforms. Past Presidents of MIA namely S K Mitra, Ramlingam, Mayank Shukla and Capt C M Randhir (Retd) were facilitated for their contribution in building a strong MIA. On the occasion, MIA recognised the success of out-standing industrialists by giving the ‘Entrepreneurial Excellence Award’.
This year the awards were bestowed upon Amit Pendharkar of Vicco Laboratories, Dashrath N Patil of Varsha Printing Inks Mfg Co and Anuradha Koteshwar of Alpha Industries. The grand event concluded with vote of thanks from the Secretary Sachin Jain. The event was attended by various Government officers and more than 100 members of Hingna industrial area.
