Student life is a golden period in every individual’s life. Its all about having fun with friends and stay care-free about real life stresses, but it is equally important to set our future prospective. Hence, learning, experimenting and actively participating in constructive activities should remain an integral part of it, opined Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Patel.

 

Union Minister Patel speaking at the felicitation ceremony held at Devendra Hostel, Rani Durgavati University, as a chief guest on the occasion of ‘Hostel Day’ on Monday. Patel himself was a hosteller at Devendra Hostel during his college days. Other eminent persons who shared the dais included State Editor of ‘The Hitavada’ Anshuman Bhargava, Vice Chancellor Kapil Deo Mishra, Registrar Professor Kamlesh Mishra, Professor S P Gautam and Professor Akhilesh Pandey former Chairman Private University Commission, who appreciated the creative approach and workculture of the Union Minister.

 

On the occasion Prahlad Patel felicitated Anshuman Bhargava, State Editor of ‘The Hitavada’. Presiding over the programme, Vice Chancellor of Rani Durgavati University Professor Kapil Deo Mishra expressed his future plans to enlist the university among top universities of the country with the support of Tourism Minister, Patel. The invited guests were welcomed by presenting garlands, shawl and shreephal. The chief guest was honoured with ‘Lok Seva Alankaran’ for his unparallel contribution in public life. Abhivan Tiwari read the Letter of Felicitation. Patel further honoured Ajay Nagesh, who has been selected in the Civil Judge Examination. The programme was inaugurated by lighting of ceremonial lamp in front of portrait of Goddess Saraswati. Warden R K Yadav, student leader Vivek Singh, Anuj Pratap Singh, Shivam Singh, Deepesh Mishra, Mritunjay Tiwari and other students welcomed the invited dignitaries. Other eminent persons who attended the event included Professor N G Pendse, Dr Mandloi, Dr M K Shukla, Amar Shrivas, Dr Gajendra Singh, Ajay Gupta, Dr Rajendra Dubey, Dr R K Gupta, Vijendra Bhadouriya, Dr Mathuresh Jaiswal, Rajendra Tiwari, Vijay Shukla and others.
