Message about recruitment in TA turns out to be fake

A WhatsApp message related to alleged recruitment in Territorial Army (TA) at Nagpur from February 20 to 24, turned out to be fake. On Tuesday, believing in the message, a large number of aspirants gathered in front of Sitabuldi Fort. The authorities had to subsequently send them back, stated a press release issued by Group Captain Basant-kumar Pande, Public Relations Officer (Nagpur), Ministry of Defence.
Recruitment for TA is carried out under the aegis of Army Recruitment Organ-isation, which advertises the schedule of the recruitment well in advance through all major newspapers. Group Captain B B Pande advised the people not to fall prey to such fake messages circulated on social media.
