Teacher from city killed in accident at Mysore

A YOUNG teacher hailing from Nagpur was killed at Mysore when the bus she was travelling in turned turtle in the wee hours of Friday.
Sharin Ravindra Francis, 28, was a resident of Sadar, and was working as a teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Bengaluru for last four years.
According to reports, Sharin boarded Bengaluru-Malappuram private bus owned by Kallada Group from Bengaluru for Mysore on Thursday night. The bus overturned at Hunsur, near Mysore in Karnataka early Friday morning.
Sharin was daughter of Ravindra Francis, a former Vidarbha hockey player and national-level umpire who is working with Central Excise, Nagpur. Her mother Dorothy is a teacher at St John’s High School and twin brother Miller is a national-level hockey player.
Sharin was a student of Student of St Joseph’s Convent School and did her DEd from Providence DEd College. In 2016, she got a job at Sacred Heart School in Bengaluru.
According to family members, Sharin’s body will be reaching Nagpur on Saturday night. The burial will be held on Sunday at 11 am at Jaripatka Catholic Cemetery.
