The Nagpur Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised a one day conference on ‘Critical aspects of Companies Act, 2013, LODR, Secretarial Standards, Secretarial Audit & E-services of NSDL.’ The chief guest of the conference was Justice V S Sirpurkar, retired Supreme Court Judge. He appreciated the role of company secretaries towards establishing and advancing the culture of compliance and governance.
CS Deepti Joshi, Chairperson of Nagpur Chapter elaborated on the expectations of management, regulators, stakeholders and related corporate world from company secretaries in current economic scenario. CS Narayan Shankar, Vice President and Company Secretary at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., deliberated on critical aspects of related party regime, Companies Act, 2013, LODR, Secretarial Standards etc. CS Vinita Nair, senior partner of Vinod Kothari & Company deliberated on Secretarial Audit and other related aspects. Khilona Behera, AVP-NSDL apprised on various e-services provided by NSDL and expectations of depository from professionals while submitting net worth certificate.
The conference was organised by Nagpur Chapter of ICSI and hosted by CS Deepti Joshi, Chairperson, CS Khushboo Pasari, Vice-Chairperson and Programme Director, CS Rohan Mehra, Secretary, CS Rashmi Mitkary, Treasurer, CS Shantanu Jog, Immediate Past Chairman and CS Tushar Pahade, WIRC Member of ICSI was also present. The seminar was attended by over 100 company secretaries.
