R P Samarth Smarak Samiti has organised a programme to distribute Vidarbha Ratna and Nagpur Ratna awards on February 8 at Arpan Hall, Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Rani Jhanshi Square, Sitabuldi at 6 pm.
 
This year Vidarbha Ratna awards will be given to Dr Sanjay Dhoble (Scientist of Physics), Dinkar Dabhade (Writer, critics from Savargaon, Jalgaon Jamod Tehsil, District Buldana), Sadanand Borkar (Script writer, director and actor, Navargaon in Chandrapur district) and Nagpur Ratna award will be given to Kartik Gurmule (businessman).
 
Dr Vinayak Deshpande, Pro Vice Chancellor of RTM Nagpur University will be the chief guest while Dr Satish Wate, former Director of NEERI will preside over. Swapnil Madan Samarth, founder secretary has mentioned that the awards are being given on the occasion of 49th death anniversary of former MLA R P Samarth.
