Dairy Tech College Warud to organise national conference in city from 6th

College of Dairy Technology, Warud (Pusad) is organising national conference on February 6 and February 7, 2020 on “Emerging Trends for Development of Functional Food” at Auditorium Hall, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur. Conference is sponsored by the ICAR, New Delhi. About 200 research papers have been received from national and international institutes on topics such as nutrition, functional food and lifestyle diseases, safety assessment of bioactive compounds, prebiotics and probiotics, micro and nanotechnologies in food, recent trends in food chemistry and food engineering, food analysis, food safety, security and control, biotechnology in functional food, food constituent as a carrier of bioactive compound and many other allied domains.
About 100 papers have been accepted for publication and presentation. Sunil Kedar, Maharashtra Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development and Pro-Chancellor will be the chief guest of inaugural function. Col Dr Prof. Ashish Paturkar, Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) will preside over the inaugural ceremony. Dr Satish Kulkarni, Vice-Chairman, Indian Dairy Association, New Delhi and Dr Prashant Wasnik, Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology will also grace the occasion. The rich experience and knowledge of the experts from across the country and the world is expected to be shared during the conference.
The scientific sessions will cover all major aspects of functional food development, keeping in line with the theme of the conference and the trade exhibits will showcase the latest technology from the area of functional foods. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for Post Graduate students and researchers to present their research activities. Nagpur Veterinary College has provided great assistance in hosting this conference. The organising committee under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor, Director of Instruction, Director of Research, Dean (Dairy Technology) and Organizing Secretary have been very active and arrangements are well underway to ensure that the national conference is a resounding success.
