Isolation ward has been prepared in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for Coronavirus suspected patients and adequate stock of medicines and kit has been ensured by the doctors. AIIMS has the capability to diagnose and treat Coronavirus, no patient yet but AIIMS is ready for the challenge. As per information received from officials, AIIMS has created a special isolation ward for Coronavirus patients. No case of Coronavirus infection has been reported in Raipur or anywhere in Chhattisgarh till date but AIIMS is ready with doctors and technical staff for their treatment, if any case reported.
 
 
According to Dr. Karan Peepre, Medical Superintendent, AIIMS has created a special six bed isolation ward especially for Coronavirus patients. Keeping in view the impending threat of Coronavirus, It is necessary to prepare doctors and medical staff for such patients. Adequate training and necessary information has been imparted to treat infected patients. Pulmonary Medicine and Tuberculosis Department Head Dr. Ajoy Behera will lead the team. Team consisting of 10 nursing officer, one assistant nursing officer and five technical employees has been deployed in the AIIMS to treat any Corona virus infected patient.
 
Adequate availability of diagnose kit and medicine has been ensured by the management. They will be available 24x7 in the AIIMS. Professor Dr Nitin M Nagarkar, Director AIIMS said that there is no case of Corona virus in Raipur or anywhere in Chhattisgarh so far. AIIMS has taken all precautionary measures to deal with such a situation if it arises. Dr. Nagarkar appealed all citizens to adopt measures to avoid Coronavirus.
