It's been 3 months, Since she’s looked at me for long, The first thing in the morning. Now all she does is Give me a 2-minute glance Before leaving for college. There was a time When the first thing she did After waking up Was look at me. Some days with those Adoring black eyes, Some days with those Sad worried eyes Which were filled with self-hatred. Seeing her sad It made me sad.

For what reason did she have to be sad? She had everything! A loving family, A wonderful sibling, A life of luxury, A set of perfect friends, A massively creative brain, And a special talent no one in the family had! Yet she yearned for the one thing She thought she never had, Beauty... She tried to find beauty within herself. She couldn't. She tried to find beauty in others. She tried to become like the people she found beauty in, Failed. She realised beautiful people were ugly after all. So she gave up. She gave up finding beauty in people. She turned to trees.

She started watching them, taking pictures of them, painting them everywhere. That’s when she stopped, Looking at me. I miss her sometimes. Wish I could tell her, That she was beautiful as she was! But I’m happy now, That she's finally found the beauty She was looking for... It’s been 3 months, Since she’s looked at me for long, The first thing in the morning. Now all she does is Give me a 2-minute glance. ‘Cause now she knows that, She doesn’t have to find beauty anywhere, But instead in the little things of life.’
