RST Cancer Hospital takes out rally to mark ‘World Cancer Day’

Rashtrasant Tukdoji Regional Cancer Hospital along with Cancer Relief Society celebrated 'World Cancer Day' on Tuesday in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, Nagpur; Association of Otolaryngologist of India, Nagpur Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, Indian Dental Association, Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH), Shri Ayurvedic College, Jhulelal Institute of Technology, JCI - Platinum, Lions Club Medicos, IMS, AMWN, NARCHI, Lions Club Nagpur Noble, Kumbhalkar Social Work College, Madhukarrao Mahakalkar Nursing School, Suretech Nursing College, Drug Treatment Clinic, Snehanchal and Aadhar Cancer Care Foundation.
UICC (Union for International Cancer Control) provided a new theme for campaign i. e 'I Am and I Will' which is being continued for next three years and this year the team of RST got the opportunity from ministry of health and family welfare to celebrate it for a week. Dr Subhrajit Dasgupta, Director of RSTRCH flagged off the rally. In this rally around 450 delegates from all collaborating organisations participated in which banners and posters were displayed and human chain were made at Manewada road with motive to create awareness regarding various cancer disease.
Dr Khush Jhunjjhunwala President, IMA alongwith Dr Subhrajit Dasgupta Director inaugurated the exhibition in which posters, slogan, were displayed in hospital premises which update the knowledge and create awareness regarding cancer diseases and also skit were presented by PGDMLT, PGDRXT, PGDRTT students from RST, Shree Ayurvedic college and Manjiri Joshi, Aadhar Cancer Care Foundation at Vikyomal hall. Dr Dasgupta welcomed all participated organizations.
Prominent among those present were Dr Khush Jhunjhunwala, President IMA; Dr Prashant Nikhade, President of Vidharbha Association of Otolarnygologist India, Dr Dinesh Agrawal, Dr Sameer Thakre, Dr Swati Sarda, Dr Mangesh Phadnaik, Dr Vaibhav Karemore, Dr Jay Chhangani, Dr Alka Mukherjee, Dr Nalini Kurve, Dr Butle, Dr Dachalwar and Medical staff of RST Regional Cancer Hospital and others. Dr B K Sharma - Joint Director of RST RCH, conducted whole proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks. Dr D P Sengupta, Dr Amol Hedaoo, Shahid Ali OSD, Rashmi Raut, Dr Rahul Thakre, Dr R Randiwe, Vishnu Sharnagat, and administrative staff, HBCR Staff, RMO's, nursing staff, worked hard to make the programme successful.
