Strategies chalked out to boost anti-Naxal operations

Government of India Senior Security Advisor K Vijay Kumar and Chhattisgarh Director General of Police (DGP) D M Awasthi on Friday convened a reviewer meeting of the anti-Naxal operations in State at Kabirdham.
The Officials agreed running joint operations between Central Paramilitary Forces and State Police.
In the meeting, the Officials had also discussed on strategy for anti-Naxal operations on the bordering districts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh’s districts of Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, and Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat, Shahdol, Anuppur, Mandala and Dindori Districts were scrutinised for naxal activities.
Senior Security Advisor K Vijay Kumar and DGP D M Awasthi directed for formulation of anti-naxal policy. They talked about intensifying the operations through the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), District Forces, STF and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces.
Analysing the anti-naxal operations, officers stated that the operations should only belaunched after verifying the intelligence report and it should also be taken of that villagers don’t face any trouble by searching operations. Security of the paramilitary and state police personnel should be ensured.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General (IG) Durg Vivekananda Sinha, IG Balaghat K P Venkat Rao, DIG Shahdol P S Uikey, DIG Balaghat R S Daheriya, SSP Rajnandgaon B S Dhruw, SP Kabirdham Dr Lal Umed Singh, SP Balaghat Abhishek Tiwari, Commandant Hawk Force Balaghat Tarun Nayak, Commandant Cobra Battalion Amit Kumar, Commandant Cobra Balaghat Kamlesh Kumar, SP Dindori Purushottam Solanki, SP Mandala Deepak Shukla and SP Anuppur Kiranlata Kerketta.
