Collector informed that if more than two applications are received for a land then the land will be allotted through auction
District Collector has the power to allot Government land less than 7,500 square feet in urban areas. Such lands have been identified by District Administration and it will be uploaded in one or two days in the district website that will comprise of Government land and its location details. Applicants by depositing 102 per cent as per the guideline can get the ownership right of the land. After scrutinising the applications and finding it eligible the money will be collected as per guideline rate and land rights would provided, informed Collector Ankit Anand while addressing the meeting with the representatives of Chamber of Commerce, Colonisers and other organisations on Friday.
Collector informed that if more than two applications are received for a land then the land will be allotted through auction. He also informed that the ownership rights of the land encroached before August 2017 would also be acquired by paying 152 per cent as per guideline. Also if the land is of Nazul the applicant can approach to Nazul Officer Patwari or the area SDM for applying.
Here it needs a mention that in Durg district 691 square meters of Nazul land and 71.90 hectare land under Patwari Khasara is available in Durg district. Also present in the meeting were Upper Collector B B Panchbhai, Deputy Collector and Nazul Officer Arun Verma and SDM Khemlal Verma and other officials of various departments. Collector also satisfied the queries of the representatives during the meeting.
