BHARTIYA Koyala Mazdoor Sangh Nagpur-Umrer area celebrated International Women’s Day as a part of birth centenary celebration of its founder Dattopant Thengadi recently. The programme was held at Sanskrutik Bhawan, at WCL Regional Office at Jaripatka. The chief guest on the occasion was D K Pande, Secretary Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and In-charge of coal and non coal. The programme was inaugurated by Dewakar Gokhale, Regional General Manager, Nagpur Region.
The other guest of honour were Nita Choube, Secretary BMS New Delhi; Nilima Gokhale, President Megha Mahila Mandal; Shilpa Deshpande, Vice-President BMS Vidarbha Region; Shivdayal Besendre, BMS Ntional Vice-President Bhartiya Koyala Mazdoor Sangh; Sunil Mishra, Treasurer and Board Member CIL Disaster Management; Sunil Dhabale, President Bhartiya Koyala Mazdoor Sangh, Umrer Area and other dignitaries. Women’s who had given excellent performance in any areas were felicitated. D K Pande, in his speech said, “Its our Indian cultural to worship women hood (Matru Shakti) in different forms like Maa Shakti, Maa Laxmi etc.” All the other guests also expressed their views on the occasion.
Nita Choubey, reminded the motive and objectives of BMS and requested all members to work together with the principle of the organisation. She also advised the members to make the birth centanary year of BMS memorable by adopting the values thought by Thangadiji. Present were Jayant Asole, R S Singh, Vasant Dambare, Narendra Duke, Ashutosh Dube, Rajnish Nanoriya, Niraj Kushwaha, Surendra Giri, Gangadhar Thakre, Vilas Huddar, Vikram Singh, Swapnil Khobragade, Nanda Ubnare, Savita Tayade, Manda Bhadang and others.
