The President also congratulated the parents of the medal winners for encouraging their wards to pursue higher education.

“Today their faces reflect how pleased and proud they are on their wards. Finishing one study does not make a person complete, but he has to become a true human. A man should be helpful to others so that he can become a good person, good spouse, good son and a good father. Similarly, for a woman after study they should be helpful, caring, well mannered so that they become good women, good wife, good sister, good daughter and good mother”, the President said. He appreciated the development works being carried in Chhattisgrah by the Chief Minister in the field of education, agriculture, art and culture. GGCU has started an ‘endangered language centre’ to preserve and revive tribal languages that are on the verge of extinction and this is worthy of praise.

“It is believed that quality of education is better in Central Universities and hence in the coming ten years Central Universities should be known as ‘Centre of Excellence’,” he mentioned. Education is that foundation stone of the society on which personality develops and this best personality will play the most important role in nation building. Better utilization of resources, value addition, removing regional anomalies through local development is a challenge,” said Bahgel. He mentioned that to tackle this behavioral change is necessary in field of higher education. To improve the quality of education, the government was appointing 1500 education and sports officers.
