To generate non-fare revenue, South East Central Railway (SECR) has come up with exciting offerings for advertisers. The Nagpur Division of Bilaspur Zone has readied up offer to provide space on its DEMU coaches in the first phase. Considering the spread of division, the avenue of grabbing up display space could provide better eye balls for products displayed on coaches.
The division has invited bids for wrapping up exterior spaces of local train, MEMU and DEMU coaches in a bid to generate extra revenue. One advantage with trains selected by division for wrapping up advertisement flyers is that they have big lead and move through deep interiors of Central India. For example the DEMU running between Tumsar-Tirodi can provided very good outreach into Bhandara district and five of its coaches are up for grabs. As to MEMU, it connects Gondia to Ballarshah, the commercial towns of Gondia district and Chandrapur district in Eastern Vidarbha Region.
In them 12 coaches offers prime advertising space for various leading brands and score eye balls as these are densely populated places. Another long lead available for advertisers if Itwari-Tirodi-Itwari local train moving through hinterland of Eastern Vidarbha Region. The growing urbanisation and increasing purchasing power among the locals in the region can be tapped by effective advertisements on train's coaches. So far the advertisers have been hesitant in opening up their money purses. But the advantages that SECR's Nagpur Division offers in terms of opportunity to reach out to masses in these days of slowdown is quite effective.
K V Ramana, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, SECR, Nagpur Division, said that nearly 54 coaches were on offer and nearly 6784 sq ft of moving space was available to display the products. And In Nagpur district alone 69,607 students have registered. In Bhandara the number of students are 20,080, Chandrapur 34,287, Gondia 23,419, Wardha 19,915, Gadchiroli 17, 489. Out of total 1,87,797, there are 99,736 boys and 87,049 girl students. There Last year 79,977 were girl while boys were 84,884. This year there are 12 transgenders also appearing from Nagpur division. Highest number of examination centres are in Nagpur which is 230. Chandrapur has 125, Gondia 101, Bhandara 88, Wardha 75, Gadchiroli 84. This year Government has started allotting 20 internal marks, the system was stopped earlier. This is likely to increase the pass result this year.
Do not take the stress Ravikant Deshpande, Chairman of Nagpur Divisional Board urged students not to take tension. Read the questions quietly and then write. He advised that Class X examination is the turning point of the career but students should not get panic.
