Women employees of Jabalpur Rly Division set a classic example

EXTRAORDINARY toil of maintaining Railway tracks is being done with responsibility by women employees in Jabalpur Railway Division with male employees of the division. In the Engineering Department with 172 track maintainers and 4 junior engineer women employees are taking care of 1085 km route railway line facing all odds with their courage and devotion to work for the nation.
In this regard, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Gupta informed that along with track maintenance women employees are working on renovation of railway sleepers, taking care of levelled railway crossing gates, track standards recording and measurement, bailast work, turn out in yard, tack equipments cleaning and painting etc are being carried out in far flung areas and even in jungles.
Senior Divisional Engineer Sanjay Yadav informed that in the Engineering Department track maintainers are giving outstanding services in running lines maintenance for safe railway operations. He added that railway has given special facilities to women employees. Mode of job is very humiliating and hence they do not find any confusion in job works. Empowerment and dedication of these women employees will be honoured on International Women’s Day.
