Lockdown: Bharosa Cell reaching out to sr citizens in need

BHAROSA Cell of Nagpur City Police, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, started creating an awareness among senior citizens about precautions to be taken during lockdown to prevent spread of coronavirus and help them in making available items of daily needs, including grocery and medicines.
 
Approximately, there are 5,570 senior citizens in the Second Capital who are more susceptible to coronavirus. Most of these senior citizens are single due to death of their partners or due to old age or their children working outside or even abroad. Under the guidance of the City Police chief, the special cell has established communication with senior citizens by visiting or calling them to help them out in such emergency situation.
 
The heads of Bharosa Cell arranged visits to 1,720 such senior citizens and took care of their physical and mental well being. So far, police contacted 14,074 senior citizens to check their well being. For any assistance, they can contact on helpline numbers 0712-2226533 or 0712-2233638.
