BMC starts water bowl project at several places for stray animals

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Veterinary Department has started Water Bowl Project for stray animals. At various places, including city parks, near petrol pumps to ensure water to stray animals. Non-government-organisations and volunteers are also helping this initiative to provide water to stray animals in this hot weather.
 
Due to complete lockdown, stray animals were not getting food and water and to resolve this issue now food and water facility is being provided by BMC team. Water bowls need to be filled twice a day and cleaned twice.
 
They are also considering taking help of animal welfare volunteers for the purpose. They are also seeking help from volunteers and timing for feeding is from 7 am to 9 am. Animal lovers claimed that Nagar Nigam Veterinary Office has a moral obligation to care for stray dogs and to inculcate a feeling of compassion towards them in the community and accordingly now BMC has allotted 50 vehicles for food distribution of stray animals. Food distribution was carried out at MP Nagar Zone-1 and 2, Nehru Nagar, Aradhana Nagar, Gautam Nagar, Danishkunj chauraha, Rohit Nagar etc.
