District Collector Tarun Pithode has directed the food safety officials to ensure that no delivery boy or any other staffer should visit the field until their thermal screening is done. Seemingly, the administration has learnt a lesson from the incident happened at New Delhi where at least 72 families were quarantined after a pizza delivery boy was tested positive for coronavirus.

On the instructions of the Collector, Chief Food Safety Officer D K Verma inspected such stores from where home deliveries are being conducted and strictly instructed them that no person whose thermal screening has not been conducted should visit the field. Thermal screening of the delivery boys should be conducted daily, he added. Verma also directed the operators of such stores that all the delivery boys must wear a mask and should also have a sanitiser with them.

As the delivery boys will be most exposed, so they should sanitise themselves in every 2-3 hours. Instructions have also been issued to all the stores that those suffering cold, cough and fever should not be called at home and must be suggested to remain isolated at their homes.
