Social service bodies and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) are busy in distri buting food items and essential kits during lockdown. Sankalp Sankalp, a city-based NGO is providing home delivery of food to needy and poor people amid this lockdown. As a social responsibility, the NGO is feeding people from the beginning of the lockdown. The NGO every year on Dhammachakra Pravartan Din feeds thousands of people who visit Deekshabhoomi.

The organisation is now busy in feeding poor and needy people amid the lockdown. The NGO is determined to feed more than 10,000 people in the lockdown period. The craftsmen who make furniture are affected due to the lockdown. Their source of earning has stopped and they are struggling to earn their bread and butter due to the lockdown. Keeping this in mind, the Mandal distributed food packets at the hands of MLA Mohan Mate recently. Vijay Jhalke, President, NMC Standing Committee; Vishnupant Morekar, President, Akhil Bharatiya Vishwakarma Vikas Mandal; Ramakant Warudkar, Secretary; Ashok Paturkar, Prakesh Borekar, Pandurang Yelkar, Vishnupanth Lonkar, Vijay Khirpurkar, Madhukar Khandalkar and others were present during the event.
Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Sanghatan Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Sanghatan distributed essential commodities and food packets to needy and poor people amid lockdown. The food packets contain rice, besan, sugar, daal, vegetable oil and spices.Manish Malani, Vivek Upgade, Atul Pofali, Anand Pandhare, Bhau Bhoyar, Anand Jogewar and others worked hard for the success of the event. Nationalist Congress Party All divisional presidents of Nationalist Congress Party 9NCP), Nagpur have distributed food packets to needy and poor people at their respective divisions. City President Anil Ahirkar distributed tea packets and spices, whereas city Treasurer Virendra Yaduka provided six quintal rice to needy people.
Along with them, Ravindra Itkelwar, Milind Manapure, Devidas Ghodeswar, Shailesh Pande, Ashok Katle, Vishal Khandekar also distributed food packets in their respective areas. Bharatiya Vikas Parishad Bharatiya Vikas Parishad is distributing tea and biscuits to police personnel who are on duty throughout the day in different parts of the city amid this lockdown. The Parishad distributed tea and biscuits at Airport Square, Chhattrapati Square, Sawarkar Nagar Square, Shankar Nagar Square, Vanamati, LIC Square, Ambazari T-Point, Hingna T-Point, Mangalmurti Square, Pratap Nagar Police Station and many other places. Padmakar Dhanorkar, Adv Kaustubh Lule, Pankaj Tidke, Yogesh Dandekar, Sachin Chawre, Mahesh Joshi and others are working hard for this social welfare activity.
