The social, cultural and religious organisations in the city have girded their loin for helping the needy and poor, hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Pulak Manch Pariwar As per the Jain religion, the first Tirthankara Bhagwan Rishabhdev observed six months fast and ended his one-year asceticism by consuming sugarcane juice poured into his cupped hands on the day of Akshay Tritiya. This is the reason, some Jain community people refer this festival as Varshi Tapa. To pay gratitude to first Tirthankara, Manish Mehta, patron of Pulak Manch Pariwar, with the help of Amar Swaroop Pariwar, distribute 4,500 kg foodgrains to 27 social groups and voluntary organisations, which are providing food to poor during COVID 19 epidemic.
With the help of Amar Swaroop Pariwar, 4,500 kg rice and wheat were distributed to 27 organisations in city. The Pariwar also distributed seven food containers to Police Department. Amar Swaroop Foundation is distributing foodgrains and grocery with the help of social organisations since last 35 days in Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. It is also providing food to students in hostels. ‘Choo Le Asman’ and ‘Zero Mile Foundation’ On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, ‘Choo Le Asman’ and ‘Zero Mile Foundation’ distributed free masks and sanitizers to needy and poor in different areas. President of Choo Le Asman, Chitra Parate and President of Zero Mile Foundation, Anand Sharma visited Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Hospital in Khapri and distributed masks and sanitizers. PRO Aniruddha Pande and Ashish Naik were present on this occasion.
Deepak Lalwani, Dr Pravin Dabli, Vidya Sharma, Dr Taral Nagmoti, Shital Baldev, Vidya Rao, Aditi Shrivastava, Alpana Verma, Shyamal Mhaske, Vasant Kumbhare, Pranjali Parate and many others worked hard for the success. Telugu Samskrutika Sangham The Telugu Samskrutika Sangham, a socio-cultural organisation known for organising several social, cultural CSR and religious programmes, has decided to contribute Rs 26,000 to Prime Minister’s CARES Fund. It has already donated Rs 25,000 to RSS Lok Kalyan Samiti, Nagpur towards distribution of foodgrains to poor and deserving people during this critical time. These contributions are in addition to individual donations by each of its members towards PM’s CARES Fund and others towards foodgrains.
The Sangham is also planning to distribute freely, the homoeopathic medicine Arsenic Album 30 that is an immune booster against COVID 19, informs Dr M A Rao, President of Honour. Bheem Boys Group Bheem Boys Group, in association with Industrial Estate Co-operative Society Limited, Uppalwadi distributed 1,000 ration kits to needy and poor people amid lockdown. The distribution took place at the hands of Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut. The Group had planned to distribute 2,000 ration kits in which they distributed 1,000 kits. The kits contain 5 kg rice, 1 kg tuar dal, 5 kg wheat, 1 litre vegetable oil, spices, soap and biscuits. Tushar Nandagawli, Dinesh Yadav, Ajmal Ahmed, Ram Yadav, Durgesh Pande, Ashish Wankhede, Shubham More, Amol Rangari, Aadesh Rangari, Rakesh Mate, Gautam Gajbhiye, Pawan Dhamgaye, Ashish Jambhore and others worked hard for the success of the event, which is a noble endeavour.
