Tributes poured from Chhattisgarh film industry and other sections of the society for renowned film actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away at a private hospital on Mumbai on Wednesday after prolonged illness. Chhollywood film makers, directors, theatre artists and litterateurs from Chhattisgarh paid rich tributes on the sudden demise of Bollywood’s celebrated actor Irrfan Khan and they remembered his valuable contributions in film industry and theatre. Eminent Chhattisgarhi film maker Satish Jain paid rich tributes on the death of actor Irrfan Khan. Satish Jain said that he was pained to hear the death of Irrfan Khan. “Today, Indian film industry has lost a real hero and his death is irreparable loss to the film industry. He was the king (Badshah) of natural acting,” director Jain told The Hitavada.
Theatre director Sanjay Maithil said that it was a matter of sorrow that India lost actor Irrfan Khan. Maithil shared that he had met Irrfan Khan four times in Delhi. He said that Irrfan Khan used to say that theatre which teaches the art of living life must be promoted. Irrfan Khan’s real acting was seen in his films, he added. Chhollywood film director Manoj Verma said, “I am shocked to hear the sad demise of the legend actor Irrfan Khan.
It has been an unrecoverable loss for the film industry. He was known for his real acting talent. Irrfan Khan gave new definition of acting. My heartfelt condolences and may his soul rest in eternal peace.” Litterateur Dr Ajay Pathak paid tribute to actor Irrfan Khan. Dr Pathak recalled in contributions in the film industry. He said that Irrfan Khan played the character of Commander Bhadrasaal in serial Chanakya. Irrfan Khan, who was a student of National School of Drama, acted in several theatres. Litterateur Dr Pathak said that he watched four movies of Irrfan Khan in the multiplexes. Actor Khan played the real character of Paan Singh Tomar in movie Paan Singh Tomar. Khan got the National Award for his role in Paan Singh Tomar, he added. Theatre director Mirza Masood said that Irrfan Khan developed his own acting style and proved his mettle through acting in the Indian film industry.
The film industry will forever be indebted to the great actor, he added. In a career spanning almost thirty years, Irrfan worked in some of the most celebrated Bollywood movies. Irfan Khan made his Bollywood debut with Mira Nair’’s Salaam Bombay in 1988. Later, he did many films but was noticed with films like Maqbool, Life In A Metro, Paan Singh Tomar, Hindi Medium, Piku and the list goes on. He has also been associated with many international films like Slumdog Millionaire, A Mighty Heart, Jurassic World and The Amazing Spider-Man. Irrfan was last seen in Angrezi Medium as the father of a teen girl.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has deeply condoled the untimely demise of eminent and versatile Bollywood actor Irfan Khan. He prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace while terming his sad demise as an irreparable loss for his family as well as to the whole film industry. The Chief Minister in his condolence message stated that Late Irfan Khan, in both reel and real life, had been successful in establishing the truth that irrespective of one coming either from English Medium or Hindi Medium background, if one has achieved expertise in his or her art then the said person is the true champion. He added that Late Irfan Khan will always be remembered for his lively and versatile portraying of roles.
