KDKCE students forum holds series of e-expert talk

CIVIL Engineering Students Forum of KDKCE organised series of e-expert talk in association with Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) Nagpur Centre and ACC Cement for the Civil Engineering students. The expert talk was organised to bridge the gap between academics and industrial requirement during the lockdown period. Dr Sandeep Shirkhedkar, Director, IMA GIS India Private Limited, Nagpur delivered a vivacious e-expert talk on ‘Role of Civil Engineers in present scenario of infrastructure development.’ He covered all avenues of Civil Engineering with practical examples. Er Satish Raipure, renowned structural consultant of city delivered the e-expert talk on construction process and estimating and costing.
 
He elaborated that construction process and management was the key part of any project. He also focused on estimating and costing and how can one manage both of these for the hassle free completion of any project. Dr Manmohandas Goel, VNIT, delivered the talk on mechanical behaviour of materials for Civil Engineering. He covered various Civil Engineering materials and its properties for effective utilisation as per the construction requirement. Several second year students sorted out their queries on the topic. Dr R K Ingle, VNIT and Er Chandrashekhar Nidhondkar, Manager, ACC were the other faculties. Students actively took part in the e-expert talk.
 
The talk brought positivity amongst Civil Engineering students during the lockdown period. Students across the India attended e-expert talk on Zoom platform. Certificates were presented to all attendees. Dr Valsson Varghese, Head of Civil Engineering Department made the welcome address. Dr A M Badar, Vice-Principal, Prof Swapneel Satone, faculty advisor, Er Vivek Naik, Er Manoj Kawalkar, Er Virendra Dehadrai, Er Milind Khamgaonkar, Er Mueen Khan, ACC Cement, Dr D P Singh, Principal, KDKCE and all Civil Engineering faculty attended e-expert lectures. Rajendra Mulak, Secretary, BCYRC and Yashraj Mulak, Treasurer appreciated the efforts.
