Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday launched e-learning platform ‘Padhai Tuhar Duwar’, claimed to be one of the most effective online education portals currently available in the nation, to facilitate lakhs of school students, government school students of Chhattisgarh in particular, with online study facility.
The portal, which has been designed by School Education Department with the technical support of NIC, would also cater the need of students of private school students as well as students of other states, said School Education Department Secretary and CGBSE Chairman Dr Alok Shukla post the launch of portal. Also present on the occasion were School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Director of Directorate of Public Instructions Jitendra Shukla, Public Relations Commissioner Taran Prakash Sinha and Deputy Secretary Soumya Chourasia. The name of the portal, that would initially have medium of teaching in Hindi language, has been named as ‘Padhai Tuhar Duwar’ (Study at Home).
Dr Shukla said that the online education portal is going to be much bigger than anything anywhere in the country. Already during the trial stage there are more than 4,000 of page views and more than 1,000 teachers and more than 400 students have already registered on it even when there has been no publicity so far. “I feel that it will reach out to lakhs of students and teachers not only within Chhattisgarh but many other states with Hindi speaking population as well,” said Dr Shukla At present study materials from Class I to X are uploaded in the portal cgschool.in.
Soon, study materials of class XI and XII would be uploaded, said Dr Shukla. Online interactive classes would be conducted through Zoon App of the portal which would allow teachers and students interact through videoconferencing. students can ask questions to their teachers through videoconferencing. Students can also get their doubts cleared online. This portal would remain functional after lockdown is over even though it has been launched keeping in mind the present situation arose due to coronavirus.
