Chhollywood expresses deep condolence 
 
Filmmakers, directors, actors and other film artists from Chhollywood have paid their tributes to eminent Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who died at a private hospital in Mumbai on Thursday morning after fighting cancer for two years. Eminent film script writer and film maker Satish Jain described the death of Rishi Kapoor as an irreparable loss for the film industry.
 
The film scriptwriter said that Rishi Kapoor was called the romantic hero of Bollywood. Satish Jain said that he had met Rishi Kapoor several times. Satish Jain said that he had interviewed Rishi Kapoor while working as a freelance journalist with a film magazine. The scriptwriter recalled that he had met Rishi Kapoor for a film project in 1997. Rishi Kapoor had called him to hear the story, but Satish Jain reached his house around one hour late and Rishi Kapoor admonished him for reaching late. “Rishi Kapoor himself opened the main gate of his house located at Pali Hill Bandra to receive me and was angry with me for being late”. He said that he was waiting since a long time. Later Kapoor took him to his garden where he patiently heard the story. He liked the story and had sent me to his brother Rajiv Kapoor.
 
Rajiv Kapoor also liked the story and both agreed to make the film, but RK Film Productions was closed suddenly, the script writer told The Hitavada. Eminent Chhollywood actor Padma Shri Anuj expressed his deepest condolence on the demise of Rishi Kapoor. Speaking to The Hitavada, actor Anuj Sharma said that Rishi Kapoor had started his film career as a child artist in the Indian film industry. Rishi Kapoor portrayed the charaters vibrantly on the screen, his playing musical instruments like dhafli in ‘Sargam’ and guitar in ‘Karz’ appeared as if he himself was playing the instrument live.
 
“Within two days, two big personalities of Indian film industry- Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan died creating a big vacuum in Indian film industry,” he added. President of Chhattisgarh Cine and Television Producers Association (CCTPA) Santosh Jain said that he was shocked to hear the death of Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor. The CCTPA President described the sudden demise of Rishi Kapoor as a big loss to the Indian film industry. Santosh Jain said that Rishi Kapoor was a talented actor and he used to keep his political and social views on social media boldly and many times that became topics of discussion. Secretary of the CCTPA Manoj Verma said, “Another heart breaking news after Irrfan Khan. Rishi Kapoor took an exit from this world. The man ruled the hearts of millions of people since 1973 from his film Bobby till date.
 
He was an evergreen actor and person. It is a big loss for Bollywood. My deepest condolences and May his soul rest in peace.” Young Chhollywood actor Maan Qureshi said that he had watched Rishi Kapoor’s movies Heena and Prem Rog many times. Rishi Kapoor was a fantastic hero playing the characters eloquently and with ease, he added. Rishi Kapoor started his career early, as a child actor in his father’s film Mera Naam Joker (1970), for which he also won a Filmfare Award. His first role as an adult came in the iconic Bobby (1973) opposite Dimple Kapadia. He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for the film. The actor went on to play the romantic lead in 92 films between 1973 and 2000, and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. He had paired with his wife Neetu Singh in 12 films. The couple has two children—daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir, who is also a popular actor. Rishi was part of hit films such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar , Sargam, Karz, Bol Radha Bol and others. In the later stage of his career, he was seen in films such as Kapoor and Sons, D-Day, Mulk and 102 Not Out. The actor was last seen in Emraan Hashmi’s The Body and had recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film The Intern, also featuring Deepika Padukone.
 
State leaders condole death Governor Anusuiya Uikey, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant and Health Minister T S Singhdeo condoled the death of renowned Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, who passed away in Mumbai on Thursday after a prolonged illness. In her condolence message, Governor Uikey said that that Rishi Kapoor was a great actor and his sudden demise was an irreparable loss to the film industry. The Governor expressed her heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family of the actor. Chief Minister Baghel tweeted, “The sad demise of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor created a vacuum in the Indian cinema. His age and health was never a bar in his acting. May God give strength to his family to withstand this situation.” In his message, Speaker Dr Mahant said, “Rishi Kapoor was a veteran actor and proved his mettle through a number of characters he portrayed in his acting career. I pray to God for the peace of his soul. I wish his family immense strength and peace in life.” Health Minister tweeted T S Singhedeo tweeted, “Terrible news of Rishi Kapoor passing away an actor par excellence, who charmed generations of Indians with his fabulous work in cinema! He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his loved ones and fans across the world, Om Shanti”.
