A reference book on thyroid surgery ‘Principles and Practices of thyroid Surgery’ edited by Dr Madan Kapre was published globally, simultaneously in several countries like USA, UK, Europe, India. The publishing house CRS/Taylor and Francis-based in London is a very reputed firm for publishing several text books and reference books of international leadership. It is for first time that a comprehensive reference book by this publishing house is edited by an Indian author, none other than renowned ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon Dr Madan Kapre. It is indeed an honour for Nagpur and India.
The contributory authors are from USA, UK, New Zealand, Bangladesh and South Korea. Dr Madan Kapre has taken special efforts to pursue to peruse our own young authors from India, who have also contributed with chapters of International quality. Dr Kapre acknowledged the special help from his surgical fellows Dr Shripal Jani and Dr Shreyash Pande. Dr Madan Kapre was ably assisted by Dr Neeti Kapre Gupta in editing the entire book. As of now the e-version of the book has been released and once the covid pandemic resolves, the print copies will be published.
