Life of Dr Warnekar was like a Yadnya: Prof Varakhedi

“The entire literature of Pradnyabharati Dr Shridhar Bhaskar Warnekar gives the experience of Satyam-Shivam-Sundaram, (Truth-Godliness-Beauty) to all Sanskrit lovers, scholars and students. The entire life of Dr Warnekar was like a Yadnya. He adopted the Dharma of ‘Sanskrit Sewa’ and devoted his entire life for Sanskrit,” said Vice Chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU) Ramtek, Prof Srinivasa Varakhedi. “Sanskrit Dharma was the speciality of life and work of Pradnyabharati. During the three days, the speakers had analysed his life, work and literature very effectively,” Prof varakhedi stated.
 
Prof Varakhedi was delivering a concluding and presidential address of three day on-line lecture series organised by Department of Sanskrit language and literature of KKSU in the memory of late Pradnyabharati Dr Warnekar. The three lectures were delivered by Sanskrit scholar, Dr Gauri Mahulikar, Dean, Chinmay International University, Ernakulam, Kerala; Prof Kamlesh Chauksey, Gujarat University, Gujarat and Prof Sundareshwaran, Calicut University, Kerala. Prof Nanda Puri in her introductory speech took a brief review of multidimensional and multifaceted literature of Dr Warnekar.
 
She termed Pradnyabharati as Rashtrakavi. Head of the Department of Sanskrit Language and Literature KKSU, prof Kavita Holay, Registrar, Prof Vikay Kumar were also present. Dr Gauri Mahulikar spoke on ‘Paath Sanshodhan: Paath Punarrachanetil Avahne’; Prof Kamlesh Chauksey delivered a second lecture on Sanskrit Bhasheche Abhivyakti Samarthya while Prof N K Sundareshwaran spoke on ‘Kalidasachi Dharma Kalpana.’ Co-ordinator Dr Parag Joshi introduced the guest speakers and conducted the proceedings. Prof Kavita Holay proposed a vote of thanks. Dr Rajendra Jain, Dr Pallavi Kawale and Rajiv Ranjan extended their support in organising on-line series which was telecast on different social media groups and channels. More than 900 students, teachers and scholars participated in the same.
