Bhopal railway has re-opened reservation counters and booking through common service centres and agents in phased manner on Friday. Besides, passengers are allowed to cancel their old tickets booked for journey during the lockdown period for further refund. Opening of booking centres mark an important step in graded restoration of passenger railway services.
Railway officials said that running of Shramik Special trains will continue to be handled by local State Government as per existing protocols. Zonal railways are also suggested to adhere to standard social distancing guidelines and observe the hygiene protocols in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. About 200 trains on several routes are resuming services from June 1. There are 44 trains to take halt in Bhopal division and 26 trains at Bhopal Railway Station.
Besides, two trains will be taking halt at Habibganj Railway Station. There is 73 pair of up-down mail express, 5 pair of up-down non AC Duranto and 22 pair of up-down Janshatabdi trains to be resuming services from June 1. Out of this 13 pair of up-down trains to take halt at Bhopal and two trains to take halt at Habibganj Railway Station. Passengers can book their ticket for these train maximum 30 days in advance. There will be also RAC and waiting list and schedule of the trains will be same.
