When 12 persons were discharged from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital on Saturday, the number of corona positive recovered crossed 300 mark. Recovery of first 100 came nearly after a month. The number reached 200 within next three days while it took five days to reach 300 mark. After six tested positive for corona, the total number of patients reached 403. If one has a look at the data, the number of corona positive reached first 100 in 44 days. But the other hundreds came within 10 to 12 days. The number of positive cases reached 200 in 12 days, third in 7 days.

It crossed 400 cases within 10 days. Dr Nitin Raut, Guardian Minister had rightly stated on Friday, Nagpur registered faster recovery and highest too in country. Rate of people detecting positive if compared with that of recovery, then one would understand, number of people recovered faster than they are testing positive. For example the number of positive cases crossed 400 mark in 10 days, the number of recovered reached 300 in just five days.

New guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare made all the difference. Earlier Government was applying old guidelines wherein patients were kept in the hospital for 15 days. They were given discharge only when they tested positive on 14th and 15th day. As per new guidelines the persons even if they test positive, are being released after 10 days without conducting any test, if they remain asymptomatic.
