Jogi remains critical

Over a fortnight has passed since first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Founder President of Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) Ajit Jogi (74), had slipped into coma his health condition continues to be critical but he is stated to be hemo-dynamically stable. In the medical bulletin issued by Dr Sunil Khemka, Medical Director, Shree Narayana Hospital on Friday it was stated that the health condition of the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi continues to be critical with very minute brain activities and he continues to be in coma.
 
Treatment is being given as per medical protocol by the team of doctors led by Dr Pankaj Omar, Chief Intensivist of Shree Narayana Hospital. Dr Khemka further added that his blood pressure, heart rate, kidney function, etc are under control. Presently respiratory support is being provided to him through ventilator. The doctors have started giving home-made food supplements to Jogi through the help of Nasogastric (Ryles) Tube. Doctors are making efforts towards activating his mind through various other medical and scientific methods.
 
It is worth mentioning here that the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi had slipped into Coma after suffering a severe respiratory arrest followed by a cardiac arrest on the morning of May 9 at his residence after a Ganga Imli seed stuck in his trachea. He was immediately shifted to Shree Narayana Hospital, Devendra Nagar, where he was admitted in Intensive Care Unit, where his treatment is under way since then.
