Usendi criticises State Govt over collection and management of funds

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President Vikram Usendi has termed the incumbent Congress Government in State as a government of confusions and contradictions. In a communiqué issued by Usendi, it was stated that many a times it seems that the Congress Government is in a confused situation what to do and what not to. Usendi said that the Congress Government states there is no economic crisis in State on the other everyday it shoots letters to Centre asking for financial assistance. When the BJP counters its claims through facts and figures on economic mismanagement and putting burden of loan on the exchequer, then the Congress starts boasting that it has maintained robust economic system.

It is not only asking for funds from the Centre, but it is also collecting funds from people and government employees in the name of COVID-19 relief. Usendi further added that testing and treatment of COVID-19 positive patients are undergoing at AIIMS, Raipur for which the Centre is making necessary arrangements. Starting from PPE kits to other requirements like medicines, etc are being made available by Centre. Till date the Centre has allocated Rs 1,200 crore to Chhattisgarh, but State Government is yet to reveal where it is spending these funds.

Usendi said that State Government has distributed Rs 25 lakh each to the districts, but ironically State Government had recovered a similar amount from village panchayats against supply of rice stock. On one side the State Government boasts that it has stocked two quintal rice in every gram panchayat on the contrary it has charged over 32 times of PDS rice against the same.
