THIRTY two new cases of corona positive were detected in State on Saturday. With this the number of active cases in State reached 344 and of the 32 new cases on Saturday, 20 cases are from district Koriya, 2 from Raipur, 6 from Balrampur and 4 from Kanker. As per information received, 20 new patients detected from Koriya include eight from Domanhill, two from Sonamani, three from Haldibadi and one each from Godaripara, Badibazar, Podi, Ramgarh and Koriya Colliery. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Rameshwar Sharma informed that 17 patients tested positive on Saturday are from Chirmiri region while one is from Ramgarh quarantine centre of the district.
 
“Total number of corona patients in Koriya district is 28 as on date. Meanwhile two patients each from Balod and Mungeli were discharged after recovery from AIIMS, Raipur”, published a medical bulletin. As per the Health Department sources, a total of 102 patients were discharged after recovery from various hospitals till the date. All the patients detected from district Koriya were admitted to COVID-19 dedicated hospital, Ambikapur. Meanwhile, samples of 66,417 asymptomatic patients were tested in State so far and 64,762 samples were found negative and reports of 1,208 samples are awaited.
 
Of the 344 active cases in State, 80 patients are admitted in AIIMS, Raipur; 91 in Covid Hospital, Mana; 50 in Covid Hospital, Bilaspur; 24 in Medical College Hospital, Ambikapur; 27 in Medical College, Raigarh; 35 in Medical College, Rajnandgaon and 5 patients are undergoing treatment in Medical college, Jagdalpur. There are 50,881 persons with travel history under home quarantine. There are 19,288 quarantine centres in State with a capacity to accommodate 7,09,637 persons and 2,14,350 persons are under quarantine. On Saturday, 319 people reached State from other states by domestic flights besides 51 migrant labours also reached Chhattisgarh. After proper medical screening they were put up in the quarantine centres.
