Deepak Mohota has alleged the Minister has provided false information in his election affidavit
 
 
Nagpur’s businessman has lodged a complaint against Maharashtra’s Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar with Election Commission of India (ECI). The businessman has alleged in complaint, Minister has provided false information in his election affidavit. Deepak Mohota has alleged, minister is involved in financial irregularities as he had shown the details of loans he borrowed in the affidavit, which he never borrowed. Wadettiwar submitted the affidavit during his Brahmapuri State Assembly constituency election. Mohota further furnished some details in the complaint that, elaborate the loan to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh the minister received from Shivanee Infrastructure. Details of his wife too also are there.
 
On the contrary, the complainant says, the statement of account in July 2018 of the same company does not speak about the loan given to Wadettiwar. Moreover, the affidavit filed by the company makes it clear there are no assets or liabilities of the company. One more allegation complainant made is regarding the minister and his wife’s partnership with Devyani Logistics Services. The complaint points at the minister for hiding the information.
 
He also did not reveal the information of the loan worth Rs 1.8 crore to Vardhan Hospital, alleged the complainant. In his complaint, Mohota further accused Wadettiwar of violating Section 125A of Representation of Peoples Act, 1951 as he hid financial transactions.
 
Mohota sent the copies of complaints to Governor of Maharashtra, Chief Minister, State Assembly Speaker, Leader of Opposition in State Assembly, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council, Director of Investigation, I-T Department. Wadettiwar told ‘The Hitavada’, “The complainant should have lodged the complaint within 45 days after the election was held. He is already late. Secondly, all the allegations he has made are baseless. Every single information I gave in my affidavit is very clear and the complaint is meaningless.”
