Immunity plays the most significant role in the ongoing corona crisis. People with strong immunity are getting easily cured from different diseases including Covid-19 but others with less immunity have to face hard time if get infected. Neha Shukla, posted as a dietician at NSCB Medical College, said that nutritious diet and an optimally functioning immune system are always create magic by safeguarding our body from diseases. Right now, we don’t have any vaccine or medicine for Covid-19, hence we need nutritious diet, exercises and meditation to stay healthy and to boost up our immune system.
 
Shukla said that every kitchen has basic spices, green vegetables and others which we can use to improve our immunity. We should take citrus fruits rich in Vitamin C including oranges, lemons, mangoes as lemon water, shikanji, aam panna, butter milk and water melon snakes. Among all kinds of Vitamins, Vitamin C and Vitamin D play a major role in strengthening one's immunity.
 
We can add Chiya seeds in lemon water which hydrates our body. Home-made curd is a natural probiotic and aids in the formation of good bacteria in our body. We can use it in raita, chach and lassi. Milk and its products, green leafy vegetables including spinach, amaranthus (lal bhaji), beetroot and food rich in zinc including legumes, pulses,groundnut and egg help the immune system and body metabolism.
