With 3 fresh cases, Naya Mohalla declared new containment area

Apparently failure to adhere to social distancing norms has proved dear to residents as now Naya Mohalla under Omti police station has also been circumscribed as red containment area. Three cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Tuesday late evening forcing the administration to barricade the entire area. With Naya Mohalla being earmarked as containment area, total number of containment area in the city has risen to 12. According to information with three COVID-19 positive cases from Naya Mohalla on Tuesday late evening, the number of containment areas across Jabalpur is now 12.
With confirmation from ICMR, administration swung into action from Tuesday late in the night and barricaded Naya Mohalla starting from Karamchandra Chowk till Harijan Thana sealing all other access points to Naya Mohalla. Consequently with barricading being done, movement of people in the area has been completely restricted.
Deployment of cops has been done at all points to restrict scope for any person moving in or out from the containment area. Even the hand driven vegetable cart vendors have also been put under strict vigilance. With Naya Mohalla identified as containment area, the total number of containment areas within Jabalpur earmarked as red zones have risen to 12.
