The first ever such action was taken in Saoner in lockdown period when during the lockdown period, needy and poor people are not getting quality food. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Atul Mehatare received a complaint about selling of adulterated and substandard food by a shop named Shri Laxmi Narayan Kirana Dukan on Dahegaon-Khaperkheda main road.

SDM Mehatare told about this to Tehsildar Deepak Karande and Food Inspector of Food Supply Department Wasudha Raghatate and FSO of FDA Nagpur Smita Babhare raided the premises of said shop. Local resident Golu Shahu had purchased Anjeer four days ago. The shopkeeper had not given him a bill and when he took Anjeer to house, he found some insects and suspected the quality of Anjeer.
