Srushti Dhoke, Faiz Khan bag prize in Nagpur Police Digital Short Film Fest

SRUSHTI Dhoke and Faiz Khan have bagged first and second prize respectively in the Nagpur Police Digital Short Film Festival on ‘Social distancing’. Srushti’s short film ‘Far Too Close’ and Faiz Khan’s ‘India Fights Corona’ were adjudged best entries. The third prize was shared by Ajay Rajkarne and Karan Pandharinath Penore. Their films were ‘Social Distancing’ and ‘Keep Your Social Distance to Save Your Life’ respectively.
 
In the animation category, ‘Thodi si Sawdhani, Hogi No Pareshani’ of Avinash Dinesh Nikash was awarded the prize. Of the 88 entries, 24 short films were nominated by experts. The participants would be given digital certificate.
 
The prize winning videos would be posted on Facebook and Twitter accounts of Nagpur City Police with official logo and tagline. An initiative of Commissioner of Police Dr B K Upadhyay, the digital short film festival was organised to create an awareness among masses to prevent spread of coronavirus. Ravindra Durugkar, actor and director, and Milind Ramesh Kulkarni, Coordinator (Vidarbha), Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal were experts for the project. Addl CP (Crime) Nilesh Bharne, DCP (Detection) Gajanan Rajmane, PI (Admn) Bhanudas Pidurkar PSI (Crime Branch) Rajkumar Tripathi, PSI Balram Zadokar and others worked hard to make the festival a grand success.
