Three persons commit suicide in separate incidents in 24 hours

Three cases of suicide were reported in the city on Saturday under the jurisdictions of Jaripatka, Ambazari and Ganeshpeth police stations. In first incident, a 35-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling rod at his house in Jaripatka police station. The deceased was identified as Randhir Bajirao Bodele (35), a resident of Vidya Nagar, Indora.
 
According to police, Bodele committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling rod with a Dupatta on Saturday at 3 pm. Reason behind Bodele’s extreme step could not be ascertained so far. A case of accidental death was registered by Jaripatka police. In another case, a 29-year-old man ended his life in Ambazari Police Station area on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Kamlesh Pradhan Mahto (29), a resident of Hill Top. According to police, the incident took place at 11 pm on Saturday. Mahto hanged himself from a ceiling fan with Odhni and committed suicide.
 
On the basis of complaint given by his brother, Ambazari police have registered a case of accidental death. In Ganeshpeth area, a 45-year-old man committed suicide in toilet late on Saturday night. According to police, Sheikh Majhar Sheikh Mehbub (45), a resident of Lodhipura, Jhenda Chowk, hanged himself from steel angle with Dupatta and ended his life at around 11.30 pm.
 
Ganeshpeth Police have registered a case of accidental death. A 60-year-old man was found dead at his house in Nandanvan area on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Raju Govind Joshirao, a resident of Plot No 659, New Nandanvan. A police official said that Joshirao was found dead at 1 pm. Nandanvan police have registered a case of accidental death. Further probe is on.
