Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme in Madhya Pradesh through video-conferencing at Mantralaya on Tuesday. The scheme will facilitate all the eligible families included under the National Food Security Act to get ration from any fair price shop in their vicinity on the basis of biometrics at any place of 21 states. CM while speaking to the migrant labourers of other states working in Madhya Pradesh, said that the scheme ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will prove extremely beneficial to the migrant labourers.
This scheme will help the eligible migrant labourers of Madhya Pradesh working in other states and vice versa in getting ration conveniently. Minister for Home, Public Health and Family Welfare Dr Narottam Mishra, Minister for Water Resources Tulsiram Silawat, Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Kamal Patel as well as Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Co-operatives Govind Singh Rajput were present on the occasion.
Automation of all fair price shops completed in State: Chief Minister highlighted that under the scheme, automation of all the 24,980 fair price shops of the State has been completed by installing POS machines. The distribution of ration among the beneficiaries through portability has also been started in the State.
