A few days after effecting transfers of some Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, General Administration Department (GAD) of State Government issued Government Resolution in this regard on Monday. As per the GR, Deepak Kapoor has been appointed as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC).
Deepak Kapoor was working as Chief Executive Officer, Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Mumbai, before being transferred to MADC. His transfer was effected on June 9 itself, but GR was issued on Monday. In fact, he had tweeted the letter of his transfer on June 10. As per the letter he tweeted, the post of Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of MADC has been upgraded to the rank of Principal Secretary. Satish Lokhande, Chief Officer, Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board, has been transferred to SRA-Mumbai as Chief Executive Officer in Kapoor’s place.
Other three IAS officers, who were waiting for posting, also have been given postings. These include Nand Kumar, Atul Patne, and Pallavi Darade. Nand Kumar has been posted as Principal Secretary (EGS and Water Conservation), Soil and Water Conservation Department. Patne has been posted as Commissioner (Fisheries). Darade has been posted as Project Director, Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society.
