Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (NOGS) was established in 1953 concerned with caring for women health work since 66 year. Team NOGS 19-20 was headed by president, Dr Priyanka Kamble who started with goal of NOGS ‘Mission with Passion, women health Caution-Care-Cure’ from April 2019 with various scientific, academics and educational activities handed over the charge to new team headed by Dr Vaidehi Marathe through digital Annual General body Meeting.
Dr Priyanka Kamble has hosted 7 conferences this year. Important women health awareness programme for all ages was also hosted by her. Adolescent-POCSO Act, Obesity, Diet, Exercise role in prevention menstrual hygiene and many more activities undertaken by earlier tenure. Other activities like Anemia Chale JAO and Pan Cancer Free India also were organised. To encourage members to do more work, ‘NOGS P.K year gold medal’ was declared by Dr Priyanka Kamble for best work done in field.
Dr Kshama Kedar highlighted other scientific activities. Dr Rajasi Sengupta presented treasurer report as well. Video clip of community health services done by them was released by Dr Manjula Rohatgi, Dr Sumati Ridhorkar, Dr Yamini Alsi, Dr Mrudul Chande. Dr Laxmi Shrikhande, Dr Chaitanya Shembhekar, Dr Mangala Ghisad, Dr Anuradha Ridhorkar, Dr Warsha Dhawale took active participation with interaction for betterment of society. Dr Vaidehi Marathe, President 20-21 gave the acceptance speech. Dr Ksham Kedar proposed vote of thanks.
