106 recover from COVID-19 in last 24 hours

There is a good news as far as coronavirus is concerned. Till now everybody witnessed spike in corona positive cases but on Friday city experienced huge number of recoveries too. In last 24 hours, 106 became coronavirus-free. With these, the cumulative number of recovered patients has reached 674. The last 100 came in just four days.
 
The number of recovered patients crossed 500 mark on June 15. Out of the 674 recovered, 59 persons got discharge from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH), 46 were under treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) while one was declared corona-free from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur. The number of persons recovered from IGGMCH reached 371, from Government Medical College and Hospital 256 ,while AIIMS figure stands at 34. It took 9 days for the number of recovered cases to cross 500. After passage of four days the city reached 674. On June 6 it had crossed 400 mark. It took 14 days for city to cross 400 mark in recovery cases. The total number of COVID-19 positive patients discharged reached 300 on May 23. Recovery of first 100 came nearly after a month. The number reached 200 within next three days while it took five days to reach 300 mark. But the rate has slowed down after it crossed 300 mark.
 
63 test +ve on Friday On Friday, 63 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Nagpur. With this, the total reached 1,172. The major haul of 42 samples that tested positive were examined at the molecular diagnostic laboratory of AIIMS, Nagpur. The new area got included in the list of the areas that witnessed coronavirus positive cases. This new area is Vayusena Nagar from where four tested positive. These samples were examined at the diagnostic laboratory of National Environmental and Engineering Research Institute (NEERI). Some samples were examined at virology laboratory at IGGMCH, GMCH, private laboratories. 
 
Laxminagar zone’s 2 areas put under containment

Laxminagar Zone-1 of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) that was so far untouched by way of outbreak of COVID-19 now is fast adding containment areas as Chhatrapati Nagar, Parsodi reported positive cases. At Chhatrapati Nagar, part of Azad Hind Colony was sealed and same falls in Prabhag-6. The boundary of area is to North - Vinayak Kaluskar house till R M Zade’s residence, East - R K Awchat’s house till Mohod’s residence, South - Nagbhoomi Layout, West - Vitthal Saradkar’s house till R M Zade’s residence. Another area in Laxminagar Zone that was sealed is Dambhare Layout, Parsodi in Prabhag-37. The zone area comprises to North - Dandige’s house to Satpute’s residence, East - Satpute house to Rajkamal Apartments, South - Shelare’s house till Rajkamal Aptts, West - Shelare’s to Dandige’s residence. New Jagruti Colony, Katol Road, in Prabhag-12 of Dharampeth Zone-2.
 
The boundary - East - Residence of Raut, Plot no. 121, West - Blooming Buds School, North - Satendra Mishra’s residence, Plot No 111, Ganeshan’s house, plot no. 130. A portion of Rahul Complex in Ganeshpeth, Prabhag No 17 was put under containment zone. The boundary is North-West - Compound wall corner, North-East-MHADA Colony entrance, South-East - Sewer Road, South-West - Narrow Road. Shree Sant Dyaneshwar Nagar in Narsala in Prabhag-29 was sealed by civic officials. It falls under Hanuman Nagar Zone-3. The boundary - North-West - Nullah, North-East - Narayan Desai’s house, South-East - Narendra Somkuwar’s house, South-West - Nullah.
 
The containment area of Bhoipura in Prabhag-19 under Gandhibagh Mahal Zone-6 of NMC was increased after the second test of quarantine patients came positive. The new boundary - North-East - Durgesh Gour’s house, North-West - Bhagirath Gour’s house, South-West - Kalidas Kamble’s house, South-East - Radhe Gour’s house. The area at NMC Khadan School in Prabhag-19 in Gandhibagh Zone-6 was also sealed. The boundary is to South-West - Sattaobai Gour’s house, South-East - Nutan Gangotri’s house, North-East - Khadan School, North West - Uday Mitra Hanuman Temple. But one good news, NMC reduced the containment zone of wholesale cloth market in Gandhibagh.
