Two more nabbed in Rs 18.31 lakh robbery case

CRIME Branch on Saturday nabbed two more robbers involved in looting Rs 18.31 lakh from two collection agents of Brinks Pvt Ltd near Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall in Civil Lines. Identified as Sandeep alias Suraj Dheeraj Hiranwar (24) and Saurabh alias Munna Praveen Kalsarpe (26), the accused are the residents of Kachipura. Earlier, Crime Branch had arrested Yogesh Vinayak Satramwar (32), Mangesh Vasudeo Padamgirwar (33), both residents of Gopalkrishna Nagar, Wathoda Layout, Aakash Moreshwar Dhote (21), a resident of Nageshwar Nagar-A, Pardi, and Nikki alias Nikhil Dhanraj Gokhale (20), a resident of Maskasath, in this connection.
 
Cops had recovered Rs 6.76 lakh cash and two motorcycles worth Rs 1.75 lakh from them. Acting on a tip off, Anti-chain-snatching squad of Crime Branch trapped Sandeep Hiranwar and Saurabh Kalsarpe in Bhandara.
 
They were later handed over to Sitabuldi Police for further investigation. The accused duo were nabbed by PSI Hemant Thorat, ASI rajesh Lohi, HC Santosh Thakur, HC Afsar Khan, NPC Himanshu Thakur, NPC Daya Bisandre and PC Vikas Pathak under the supervision of Addl CP (Crime) Nilesh Bharne, DCP (Detection) Gajanan Rajmane, ACP Sudhir Nandanwar and senior PI Bhanudas Pidurkar.
